Find Ancestors

Have been struggling with the wife of my great Grandfather Wilson Stuart Ridout. From there marriage certificate she is listed as a widow. After a little more research has found that the first marriage was to a Robert James Parris in 1887. What I can’t find is any census records of them between 1887 and 1092 when she married my Great Grandfather in 1902. Everything I have found so far is around Sturminster Dorset.
Where should I look next to try and find them.

Eliza's birthplace of Baptist Mills is near Bristol. George is shown as a porter but quite a few of the neighbours are cheesemongers which is how that may have become his trade by the time he married Eliza.

Robert died some time between 1887 and 1900. I have found a death for a Robert james Parris in 1898 at St Georges Hanover Square.
The marriage for Eliza and Robert I have found is for dec qtr 1887 which ties up wih your info but am struggling to make the connection with hanover square as so far I have not been able to link Eliza with Robert at this location.
Going to have to wait for the Parris Warren marriage cert to confirm who robert is.

David - I've posted all of the details from the Parris/Warren marriage above, plus the 1871, 1881 & 1891 census I'm pretty sure are correct based on those marriage details.

Seeing as he is with his mother in 1891 (but listed as married) then I'm wondering if the marriage didn't work out? They married in Dorset so I'm guessing he must have been there, met Eliza and they wed. Perhaps he took her back to London with him and she didn't like it?
