Find Ancestors

I can find nothing for John Barber Snr. I have tried finding his birth on the parish records without success. There is no marriage certificate at the GRO with Betsey (Elizabeth Hope). I can find no trace of his death. Any information on John would be appreciated.

There is a post-it on the above marriage entry on FreeBMD which says:

03/02/2007 Elizabeth Simpson is my great great grandmother. I am decended from her son David Barber. Her first husband was John Barber

EDIT - judging by the date of that post-it and the date June joined this site, I suspect it is her message on there and she therefore already has this info.

June, could you tell us what you need please? Is it just the info going back from John b c1821?

There is a birth for David Barber in 1865

He does appear on 1881 census as a nephew, with John b 1863, and on 1891, 1901 and 1911 with wife Sarah Ann

John snr's marriage cert will tell you who his father was - if he knew

What sort of info are you looking for as you obviously have done some research

I am seeking information on my great great grandfather John Barber born Madeley, Shropshire about 1821. He had two sons. John born about 1863 and David born 1865.
