It would be greatly appreciated if someone could look up the following census
for a Joseph Sadler c1836/8 who wed a Catherine.
I am having difficulty in trying to ascertain as to which Joseph Sadler is my correct gr gr grandfather. I know that my gr grandfather was John but there were two births in smethwick 1861 and 1862.
Jacqueline as kindly looked at 1871 census and found Joseph/Catherine but not sure if it is the correct one.
Another Joseph wed a Caroline, and also lived in smethwick/kingsnorton
Have checked a couple of other sites, but still keep coming up with the same answers - as above.
Any help of info would be much appreciated.

Hi Brummiejan, perhaps i am jumpingthe gun here.
No i havent got Johns birth certificate but my reason for asking for census look ups for joseph is that if john was to show on census with his parents i might get the right gr gr grandparent.
i am not 100% sure but joseph could have been born smethwick/kingsnorton

Do you have your great grandfather John's marriage certificate? This would give you his father's occupation. Who did your great grandfather marry?

Hi Brummie46, because there are 2 Johns born around the same time it would be so so easy to end up on the wrong line.

to what pollypoppett has forwarded, i do know that my gr grandfather John wed a jane bird in Walsall, this seems a big coincidence as to what she has found.
Did the family moved back and forth between smethwick and walsall. it looks like a couple of the children were born in smethwick and another in walsall. Perhaps this could be the tree line.
