I am trying to find information about my great great grandfather Leslie Mason born in 1869. I found him and his family on the 1911 census, but cannot seem to find him before then. I wondered if he was born abroad however can get in to see the documents.

If he was born abroad then surely that would have shown on the 1911?

Pollypoppet, that is the correct family with all his children, however i cannot find Leslie's parents name or anybody else further back in the family.

I will look into the family above, with Leslie list as a son of John and Jane Mason.

I cannot get into the documents as you have to pay extra to see them.
