Hi
Im severely confused with one of my relations...
Charles W G Luscombe b1910 married Rose Bowen in 1933
They had 3 children
Charles J Luscombe b1933, Thomas Luscombe b1934 and John Luscombe b1937.

I have Rose and Charles on electoral rolls in every year (except Charles in 1945, but have Rose) living at 16 Calverley Grove Islington upto 1956. Then in 1957 it would appear Rose is living with her 2 sons and Charles W Luscombe is living next door (no.18 Calverley Grove) with a Sheila V Luscombe. (There is a Sheila V Saunders living next door in 1956).
This led me to believe Charles W Luscombe has left Rose and remarried so i searched for a Marriage and came up with...
Charles J Luscombe to Sheila V Saunders in Islington in 1956??

Is this the son thats married her or is someone mixed up?? because Charles W Luscombe is then living with Sheila up til the furthest i can find at moment 1961?
Am i going mad?

It definitely is Charles J on the Marriage Index


and he was of age to marry.


I would tempted to say that it is the Electoral Roll that has the initial wrong.


Have you looked for the death of Charles W G ???



what do later Electoral Rolls show?

There is a Sheila with a Charles on elec. roll 2005-11 but i don't have credits on 192.com to check address

Charles J Luscombe (the son) is living with Rose (the mum) and Charles W Luscombe is living next door with Sheila V Luscombe from 1957 onwards upto 1961.
I believe Charles W Luscombe died 1972.

Think i might get at least one of the certificates, but want to be sure i got right person first ;) very strange though...glad its not only me thats left puzzled otherwise that would mean im losing the plot lol
