If there was an inquest the informant on the death certificate should be the coroner.

The best place to look for details of the accident is in local newspaper reports. Back copies are usually kept at the library. If you try the one nearest to where the death took place you might find something.

Do you have the death certificate and if so does it say that there was an inquest?

anyone help me please my great greatgrandad fell off his horse and cart in shotton colliery in 1866 anyway of finding an inquest ?
