Does anyone have access to files that could give me the information on Thomas Parkinson who died in 1887 in St Giles, London. TO see whether he is related to my line of parkinsons.

Hello George, the only way really is to order a copy of the death certificate.

I guess this is the record you're referring to?

England & Wales, FreeBMD Death Index: 1837-1915
Name: Thomas Parkinson
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1838
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1887
Age at Death: 49
Registration district: St Giles
Inferred County: London
Volume: 1b
Page: 361

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a corresponding probate or London burial record which might have given further info.

Morning Gins.

Oh yes. This wrinkled old bag may not be able to cope with the finer points of modern technology but I'm a little ripper when it comes to sniffing around. :-D :-D

The information that would help is that if he was from Co. Limerick, an ex. Soldier or his father was also called Thomas

Thank you for looking and a bit of banter is always good

George, when was your Thomas born? Do you have him on any census - if so, can you give us details?

Do you know his regiment?

I take it you're trying to trace what happened to your chap?

Anything you can tell us would help us to help you - some of us have access to military and overseas records which might be a direction to take.

Ah. You need someone with access to the Irish records. Others do have.

Will see if he shows up on any English census'. Caqn only find one possible in the 1881. Do you know if he married/had any children? I'm not certain from the original if it saying he was unmarried or married.
