Thanks so much, I didn't think to search google... I'm go grateful to you all, great info I can now add to my tree.

Whenever I have someone with an unusual name I always Google it. Just did that for yours and there is a Tyras Woodhead who was an Editor for the Gazette Nespaper in Kendal - 1828-9 (according to Pigot's Directory).

Also an obituary for a wife of a Tyras:

(Whitehaven Herald, Nov 11, 1855): "At Friendly-cottage, near Haverthwaite, on the 14th ult., Sarah, widow of the late Tyras Redhead, many years editor of the Kendal Gazette, and formerly a woollen draper in Ulverston, aged 68".

There are quite a few more entries for Tyras Redhead too - worth looking through them.

Trying to find any info on Tyras Redhead born in the Lancashire area possibly. He had a son called Peter born in dalton furness area in 1790.. Any help would be great.
