there are alot of Baptisms for Warwickshire on Ancestry... they are not however fully transcribed yet and its a case of going thru the books page by page online.

I have used them for many family members. I shall take a look for you and see what i can find.

Hi Derek..Joseph Pratt and Ann formaly Johnson married Kenillworth 1786 they lived in Kirby Corner Westwood Stoneleigh..

The problem i have had for a long time now is never being able to find my 3 x Great Grandads baptism c 1809..i have now discovered through Stoneleigh Parish burial records two other sons who i knew nothing about, A William Pratt born c 1790 and a Joseph born before my Joseph who must have died as a baby..i cannot find any baptisms for all 3 boys..yet all the girls were baptised at Stoneleigh.

These are some baptisms i have

1788
Sept. 7th Mary Dr of Joseph and Elizabeth PRATT (this should read Joseph & Ann)
1791
Sept. 25th Eliz Daugt of Joseph & Ann PRATT Kirby Corner
1793
Octr 6th Ann Dr of Joseph & Ann PRAT Kirby Corner
1796
July 17th Sarrah Dr of Joseph & Ann PRATT K Corner
1799
Sept 8th Mary Dr of Joseph & Ann PRATT Kirby Corner
1805
Novr 3rd Hannah Dr of Joseph & Ann PRATT Kirby Corner

Burials

1794
April 20th Mary Dr of Joseph & Ann PRATT Kirby Corner Burnt to death
1804
March 8th Joseph son of Joseph & Ann PRATT Kirby Corner
1806
Jan 12th Hannah Dr of Joseph & Ann PRATT Kirby Corner
1827
Sept 9 Hannah PRATT Kirby Corner 69 (this is Ann Joseph wife)
1836
June 26 William PRATT Kirby Corner 45

This William i knew nothing about but my Pratt family were the only ones residing at Kirby Corner Stoneleigh..so he has to be Joseph & Ann's son
This is why i am wondering why 3 sons were not baptised

thanks Derek..

Hi i am wondereing if anyone has access to St Michael's Coventry baptisms 1790-1811..I know there are 1837 onwards on Pickards Pink pages for Warwickshire..but need these earlier ones.

My family resided in Westwood which was in the parish of Stoneleigh, but it was just as far to go to Stoneleigh St Marys as it was to go to St Michale's Coventry..i have my 4 x Great Grandparents daughters baptisms at Stoneleigh but their three sons are not amongst them, so i wondered if they had these boys baptised at St Michael's

Any help appreciated

Colette
