Thanks for the marriage ref PricklyHolly, and George for the British War Graves link. I've now requested a photo of his grave and also one for my Step-Grandfather's brother who died in Egypt in 1941

As far as i can see there are no ww1 service records for him.

Bear in mind that 70% of these records were destroyed by bombing in WW2,.

Thanks very much for the Records listed. I had grave details from the CWGC site already, but didn't know where he died (or in what Battle).
PricklyHolly/patchem - the death location says "France & Flanders", can i take it from this that he died in Flanders and was buried in France, is that common?
This is my great grandmother's brother and apparently she lost another 2 brothers, but i haven't been able to find when & where they died as none of the War Graves on the CWGC have next-of-kin details or anything to help indentify them or link them to Norfolk where they both came from.

Here isnother site who have photograped headstones in the cemetery where he is buried, they will send you a photo for free if they have it.

There is this site The War Graves Photographic Project who have photographed his headstone, yo can obtain a copy either one by email or a hard copy sent through the post, however they do ak for a donation £3-50 for emailed or £5-50 for hard copy.Its a question if you want this.
