Getting more complicated so will explain. I have been searching for many years for a Samuel Harding b.Chilton Polden. He went missing after 1871 Census lodging at Nags Head, Taunton. Occ.Timber Hewer. Some time ago after finding a Samuel Harding of right age on 1911 Census at Hereford Workhouse. On enquiring of said Workhouse I was told the gentleman was age 62 and his name was Samuel Tutton Harding of Bridgwater. Hence my quest to find out who he was. If he had been just Samuel Harding I would have claimed him.
The Harding family was intermixed with surname Harden which makes it doubly difficult. The Samuel I am looking for was reg.Samuel Harden 1847 Bridgwater.
he was baptised Mark Samuel Harding so you see my problem. 1871 Census has him as Samuel Harding.

Thanks for info. Raises a few more questions. Where were they 1851/1861.

Also as to family of Tutton. Can sks look so see on 1851 Census where John Tutton 1796 was born please. Curious as my late M in L was a Tutton whose family originated in Shipham, Somerset.

Marr. entry on Freebmd of George Harding and Eliza Tutton - June Qtr.1843 Axbridge. Can anyone find this couple on 1851 Census please.
Very interested to find out if they had a son Samuel c.1844-1847.
Also where George Harding born. Do not know where any born.
