lostcause Report 6 Sep 2012 16:37

I am trying to find Francis William Major B1866 Hull, Yorkshire, he was the son of James Major b1842 Hull.
I think he married Elizabeth Harriet Scown in 1890 South Shields.
I have found Elizabeth on 1901 Census and 1911 Census with lots of children but Francis is not on any of them yet it states that Elizabeth is still married.
He could possibly have been a mariner i dont know, but until i find him i cannot put any of them on my family tree, and i do not know where to look next, Please help if anyone can. Thankyou.

Bigbird,

If you purchase a copy of the marriage certificate that you think may be his then hopefully it will show details of the groom's father. That should either confirm or deny that the groom was who you think he was.
