Hi all, ive been trying to trace my Grandfathers Birth record to no avail and have recieved lots of help from u all, ive just discovered from my Aunt that she was led to beileve that although his surname was Holland and that's the name he passed to his family he was actually born with a diffrent surname,
Im now led to believe that im looking for a birth record for Samuel Bristow he was born 1899, i have found a Samuel Bristowe living in kensington & Chelsea workhouse in 1911 but im still unable to find a birth for him,
Facts i have so far
Samuel Holland married Florence Nichols in Carshalton Surrey on 26th December 1922 he was aged 23, his father is listed as deacesed by name of Thomas Holland, Samuel Died in 1954. I have his Marriage and Death Cert but am still looking for his Birth Record.
Not Fact but Possible
he lived with a family of Holland's and some point in his early life as he did not get on with his family and he decided to take there name on, im led to believe his name was originally Bristowe, if anyone can help me find his birth record i would be truly grateful xx

im also led to believe that he had two brothers one possibly called Albert ( not sure if a Bristowe or holland ) AAand he supposedly emigrated o australia.

If this is the right Samuel then he is 12 so maybe he went to live with the Holland's later
