Hi can someone please point me in the right direction in Archives for Army records for John Green born 1837 Andover, UK. He enlisted in the 37th Reg of Foot at the age of 18 and trained at Aldershot, went to India in 1858. Returned to England 2yrs later and in 1863 transferred to the Army Hospital Corp and embarked for NZ. He was in the Maori Wars in NZ. He married and stayed in NZ. I have sent for his Maori War Records, but was wondering wether there would be records also held in the UK.
Regards

If his records have survived they will be on FMP. If they haven't survived there will be other records at the National Archives. Not online though - you would have to go there or get someone to go for you.
