Find Ancestors

Hi,

I'm trying to trace my ancestors, Janet/Jessie Robb and Alexander MacIntosh. Both were born in Scotland but moved to London, and (purportedly) married there.

I have found a copy of the banns for their marriage, but no marriage seems to have taken place (all of the others have the marriage date written in the margin except this one).

I know they stayed together and had more children (having already had some prior to the banns), so I can't understand why they didn't marry. I was really hoping to get a hold of their marriage certificate to try and help me trace their Scottish roots.

Sure - the banns were read in May 1851 in Marylebone.

Probably didnt take place then because she was under 21 and dint have her fathers permission
