There are also British Army WW1 records for him but is he the right Alfred??
War records, there's quite a few, says he was a carpenter and so did the Australian Electoral Roll. One page says that part of his pay was allotted to Mrs E Booth but the page is partly damaged and not dated.

Do you know if his middle name was David or that his parents were Isaac and Eliza?

According to an Ancestry tree, Eileen died in 1935 and Alfred re-married to Rose Hannah Rudge - but I am guessing you know this!

Eileen Draper wife of Alfred Booth.

Eileen is the daughter of Alexander Draper 1884-1969 and Elizabeth Currie 1885-1958.
