One of my great aunts she was shown as domestic servant in 1901 living at 2 Fromefield, Frome, Somerset (head of household was Alfred P AMIS a solicitor). On 17th February 1906 at Church Passage Banbury she gave birth to Frederick William TAYLOR the father's name not shown on birth certificate. Frederick was shown as adopted by his grand parents in 1911 census. After the birth of her son Minnie as she was known seems to have vanished from the records (or rather I have not been able to trace her any further). So I would like to find out more about Minnie & her son. Can anyone help please? Vic Taylor

I realise Melbourn is some distance from Banbury and the birth year is a few years out, but it's a distinctive name .....

Thank you all for your help & useful replies. Patchem it is the right family you identified in 1911 Banbury. The family remained in Banbury or nearby such as Warwick. The Frederick who died in Cheshire could well be the same person as the dob is the same. Moodyblue also I think that the marriage of Minnie to Stapenell is a possibility. Marie Celeste thanks for your reply - it is useful for elimination purposes. The family did tend to spread across the country after WW1 - all the five brothers shown in 1911 census plus two others served in the war.
I now have some leads to follow up - many thanks to you all Vic Taylor
