This is a very long shot but I'm hoping someone maybe able to shed some light on this lady.
All I can offer in the way of information is that she was probably born c.1795-1800, this being because she baptized her son James Fleming March 1818 at Stockton,Wiltshire. No father was named.
There was a Harriet Fleming who married William Hayward in Stockton 1820, spinster and bachelor of that parish so records shows. No parents named.
It is believed that they had a daughter Mary Ann Hayward in 1821 bpt.Codford St.Peter Wiltshire but that is all we can offer.
I cannot find birth/baptism or deaths for Harriet or William Hayward and no more on Mary Ann.
James Fleming b.1818 is my husbands ancestor when he married in 1849 he named a Charles Flower as his father.
I can't find James in 1841 but have him from his marriage onwards living in Stockton.
If you able to help solve this mystery in any way at all I would be very grateful.

Hi Pollypoppet and thanks for looking. I'm told this James is another one entirely, unfortunately. The fact that he is an apprentice to a wheelwright when my James was a labourer all his life does have some bearing on this I guess, as does the age difference although I know in 1841 ages were rounded up or down.
I do know a James Fleming was born 1823 in Heytesbury.

Thanks again for your interest.
