I'm back, Linda. Just found out that I had a copy of that obit among the million papers that we have in this house. I've just managed to scan it, all by myself, I might add. Normally I do it under hubby's instuctions but he's in bed.

Now shall I try to attach it to a pm on GR or do you want to click on my name and send me your email address? I've never attached anything to a GR message but I'm sure I can do it. However I have been told that you get a better image by attaching to an email message. I don't really know, it's up to you.

On second thought, I'm going to try to attach it to a pm to you.

I think I did it!!!
Don't forget to write the date of the newspaper on it. It was The Cornwall Standard, 16 Jan. 1919.

Can't thank you enough Margee, it has arrived and is perfect.

It certainly gives me the proper spelling, Cascinda, also lots of other names to work with.

I shall certainly be busy and may even, eventually, be able to contact some living relations.

The W.J Empey who is mentioned was my Dad's half-sisters husband. When I realize called Cascinda my GGGreat Aunt is total bunkum lol

Thanks so much again

Linda

I've noticed people do change their year of birth, but almost never their birthday.
