Sorry Elizabeth Jane Sloan? Thanks everyone, the family tree on ancestry is mine so have his childrens details etc but would like to go back a bit further on the cook side if i can. The marriage details are correct and census info you shared seems correct. Thanks again, just need to find his definate birth or bapt... I'm so pleased at everyione help and response :)))))))

I'm unable to find the cert at the moment but he was b 1862 ish and I remember he had entered his fathers occupation as an engine smith? He married an Elizabeth ann Sloan on the 22nd Dec 1889 in Toxteth st michael. In the census he's enetered as a platers labourer? and in the 1901 census a ships rivetter labourer. They had several children including my x3gfather Ambrose Cook. Thanks for your reply :)

Hi could anyone help me find any more info regarding my distant grandfather? I have his marraige info, he married an Elizabeth sloan in toxteth Liverpool but I'm unable to find any birth record for him. His father is entered on the marriage cert as Thomas also. Any help would be great.. many thanks Lisa
