Saturday on Arthur Turner, an L.M.S. employee, of Bredon's Hardwicke, who lost his life while walking on the 6-foot way on the main L.M.S. line at Bredon. Daniel Turner, licensee of the Railway Inn, Bredon, identified the body that of his brother, aged 59 years

of Mr. Arthur Turner, aged about 58, of Bredons Hard-, wicke, a platelayer employed' by the L.M. and S. Railway Company, was found on the six-foot way after, apparently, having been struck by a passing train. Mr. Turner had been on duty throughout the

Thanks Andy. I was putting out feelers as it worked 12 years ago when i found my Great Great grandfather's railway records in Peterborough.

Yes a death cert would be a direct route and then go on to local newspapers.

Some railway records are avaialable on Ancestry. He has a common name and cannot tell if any are your Arthurs. A copy of his death cert would have the cause of death and an accident may have been reported in local newspapers.

Arthur Turner born 1887 at Bredons Hardwick in Worcestershire.

He worked on the railways and died while at work in 1946.

Are there any records that may cover this period please?

Did he die from a Rail related incident?
