I am trying to find the parents of Leonard Charles Wootton born 1886 Bloxwich Staffordshire . I have his marriage certificate 20/07/1905 his address is 19 penfield and his father is also Leonard wootton and he was a colliery engine worker I searched census but have not been sucessful

Strange because that tree has Leonard marrying Mary Jane Bradford ?

Yes this is the right 1911 census.
On the birth certificate of Joseph Wootton she is
down as Jennie but on her death certificate she is down as Mary Jane nee Bradford DOB28/12/1887.Also on the birth certificate of Joseph Wootton he is down as Leonard Wootton but on his death certificate he is down Leonard Charles Wootton :

Jennie quite often used as a nickname for Jane .
Maybe she didn't use Mary

Leonard Wootton and Leonard Charles Wootton are 2 different people.

I keep looking at that 1891 census...

Leonard Russell born 1885 Bloxwich

He then appears with the same family in 1901 as Leonard C Wootten.

There is not an appropriate birth registered for a Leonard Russell in Walsall.........which makes me wonder if Leonard was adopted/fostered by the Russell family.

He may not have know who his father was and just made it up on the marriage cert.

I think it would be in your best interest to order a copy of his birth cert.

I am still searching I found a census for his best man John Cockayne and his father wiiiam who lodged with a Isaac Wootton who was the father of a charles wootton
