As a Professor of Languages, one would have thought that any 'teaching' he did would have been in a University |

Thanks it is going to be difficult all I know is he was a Professor of Languages and originated from France. He has written some books on French poems verbs etc which I have managed to see copies of in the British Library. I thought perhaps having done that he might have been traceable. The books even stated he worked sometimes for the Chamber of Commerce .Quite a lot of info but unable to progress. |

Findmypast has 'Teachers' Registration Council Registers 1914-1948' and they say "the records cover teachers who started their careers from the 1870s onwards". I would assume that would mean teachers who were still teaching in 1914. |

I am trying to find any teacher records from about 1890's . Is it possible there is a record department that keeps them so far back. |
