Hi All
Looking for a John Leaney. I have his name on the marriage Cert. of Daniel Leaney and Caroline (Hoad), June 20th 1846.(both of full age)
John was shown as Daniels father (deceased) .Both father and son were farm labroughs?. Caroline's father was a William Hoad.
They were married in Sussex, in the parish of Salehurst.
If anybody can give any info/details with regards to John Leaney, it would be appreciated.

As you are looking for Daniel's FATHER, one must assume that he was born no later than c1804
He most definitely was NOT born c1846
As he was 'deceased' when Daniel married, bear in mind the possibility that he was invented

Many thanks for your help and info.
The Burwash -John Leaney,- christening Circ. 1804, looks promising!
As Daniels marriage was 1846, this would have made John about 42 yoa, if he had survived for his sons wedding in. The place seems to fit also.
