Does anyone have any information on John Alvien/Hannaford Waldron (now deseased). Born 1893 in Nottingham. He married twice and had two sons with his first wife and a daughter with his second wife.

I am looking for details of his life for the years 1927 to 1937. He left his first wife in 1927 and "took to the road", eventually ending up in Cornwall where he met his second wife in 1937 and married her in 1938.

I do hope someone will be able to fill in the "missing" years.

Hello Everil, could you clarify if "John Alvien/Hannaford Waldron" is his full name or is one an alias?

EDIT: This may be his birth

England & Wales, FreeBMD Birth Index, 1837-1915
Name: John Alvien Waldron
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1893
Registration district: Nottingham
Inferred County: Nottinghamshire
Volume: 7b
Page: 418

So what is the Hannaford?

The best thing to do is check for anyone else who has him in their family - go to 'search' box above right and click on 'search all trees'.
Unless somebody just happens to know, without birth, marriage or death certs for this period of time it is impossible to say where he was.
You could check out electoral registers for any addresses you have, particularly in 1937 when he married, and see if he lived there in previous years.

Thanks for your reply. I have been using this site since it began and the 5 people whose trees appear in "search all trees" regarding John Waldron are using all the information that I have garnered in the past and they are all related to me. So thanks for the suggestion but it doesn't really help.

I am hoping that someone may just happen upon my post and be able to help.

It just won't happen though. Anyone who might remember him 1927-37 would have to be in their 90's realistically. Not sure they are likely to be members on here!

I realise that you are trying to help but I am not asking for anyone who "remembers " him personally to contact me but possibly anyone who might be connected to him via any other liaisons he might have had. He certainly was a ladies man.

I have been fortunate before as the name Alvien is very unusual, coupled with Hannaford it is even more unusual.
