Find Ancestors

He was wounded and his son say's he got a pension,
i have found on some records he is Stephen George Harmer ?
but took this as mistranscribed.

Cannot see him in the pension records on Ancestry

Although most service records where destroyed in ww2 medal cards where stored separate and they survived

honorable discharge would indicate that he was discharged as the result of an injury? which could also indicate that he did get a war pension?

If you're so sure he served, wonder if he enlisted under his brothers name - my grandfather's brother tried that & got caught eventually and packed off home!

Any reason to think he served in WW1?
