Census info John Wooding married to Maria Wooding (nee Sharman) in Bedford area

Can anyone check census information for these two. They were married in Dec 1850 so anything after that woudl be really helpful. The will be in the English census I believe Maria was born in June 1836/38 roughly. I have census information for Maria from 1901 so anything before that would be really helpful.

Many thanks
Mary

This information I was able to confirm for sure using the 1901 census. I know my grandfather was definitely Matthew Hislop who originally came from Glasgow accordinging to the census info.

Matthew Hislop (boarder) married Louisa Wooding (the niece) in Sept `1902 and it looks like Maria Wooding was her grandmother, since she was the mother in law of Arthur Holmes since Louisa Wooding was his wife's maiden name. I then started looking for a Wooding who married a Maria and this was the only match that worked - John Wooding to Maria Sharman in June 1838 using the BMD site. I thought she seemed young but she was the only Maria? Ihad her first name but not his you see.

Sorry it shoudl have said marriiage of John Wooding to Maria Sharman in Dec 1850?

What was Louisa Wooding's Father's name from the marriage certificate?

Maria can also by Mary or Mary Ann or Marie, or sometimes a second name.

Or there could be no Mr Wooding, as the children could be illegitimate.

And Maria does appear to have married Levi.

I don't actually have this certificate yet. I am going to get Louisa Wooding's birth certificate then work back from there.

I just wondered if the Maria wooding woudl be listed in the census somewhere with a daughter Louisa Wooding (not the niece but daugher of Maria who happens to have the same name) and possibly a son of Maria listed (who I thought might be Louisa Wooding - the niece's (Louisa Wooding's) father listed). I don't know what her father's first name is though.

Dont' know if this visual might help:
Maria Wooding (possible nee Sharman) Mother - Father possible John Wooding

Their children:
Louisa Wooding Son (unknown firrst name) Daughert I thought I saw Abigail on something)

Their Children's children:
Louisa Wooding (daughter of the son above who married Matthew Hislop in Sept 1902. I believe they had 4 children Louisa b 1 Nov 1902; Barbara, Olive and Elizabeth

Not sure of any others

Yes, I had come up with this information too but am trying to trace the next generation back ie Louisa Hislop nee Wooding's father's name and her grandmother's maiden name as I believe her first name is Maria. It would be good if possible to find any census information for Matthew and Louisa Hislop nee Wooding to confirm the names I have for their family above and also to see what they done for a living etc.

I won't be back on-line until tomorrow evening but thanks for your help.

I will check on-line again tomorrow evening. :-)

They are not obvious in the censuses.
You said you were going to get Louisa Wooding's birth certificate - I cannot see a reference to it, have you found one?
I think you need that marriage certificate of Matthew and Louisa before you try to go further back, as that will give father's names.
