Thomas Lashmar married Ann Mason at Belper 01.05.1854......Ann Mason baptised Belper 1832 daughter of john and Sarah..1851 gives five siblings.....if i can help follow this through let me know...she is on all the successive censuses.so perhaps your enquiry is answered.
Thomas Lashmar born 1831 Falmer Sussex............all details are on successive censuses........do not confuse with Thomas Lashmar born Cowes Isle of Wight.
Derek.

Many thanks Derek for the details of Ann Mason I don't have anything on her until she married Thomas. Neither do I have census details for Thomas apart from the 1881, so I would be grateful for any help.

Thank you
Regards

Hello Kay..........Thomas Lashmar was baptised in Sussex 07.11.1830..one of many children of JAMES LASHMAR and Sarah nee GRINSTED..who married 22.08.1825.......Sarah was already pregnant with her first child HARRIET who was baptised 02.10.1825.........there are more if you want them....
Being a Derbyshire specialist I ma able to look into Ann mason in some depth if you wish.........depends really on how far you want to go.

Hi Derek,
Thanks for that I can go back with Thomas to the 1700 but I would like to know who Ann Masons' siblings were and what sort of work her father was in.
Many thanks again
Kay

Hi again Kay..........this has been a bit of a trek!!..but here goes........again.depends on how much you want to know, cos it goes on and on........
Firstly.it's easy enough to find the siblings of ANN MASON from the 1841and 1851 Censuses....but it began to look as though there might be earlier children..and so there were......

Here goes.JOHN MASON(1797) married SARAH HATTEN(baptised 25.12.1798)...at Duffield 13.04.1818.....
They had the following children:

George..14.02.1819
Sarah ...11.04.1821 died in infancy
John.... 17.08.1823
Sarah... b.26.05.1826..baptised 25.06.1826
Mar Ann..b.03.08.1829..baptised 30.08.1829

These are not on the 1841 census living at home..they have either died or flown the nest...I know George married..back to him later..

more children...as on the 1841:

Samuel b 18.03.1821..baptised 12,04.1821
Lot b.25.07.1823 baptised 17.08.1823
ANN..25.07.1831..baptised 22.08.1831..married Thomas Lashmar
Mary b.26.09.1833..baptised 02.11.1833
Harriet baptised 06.04.1836

John 1841
William 1843.......the last two taken only from the 1841 Census..so ages not accurate..whereas everything before is direct from Parish records and is 100%

Ok....JOHN MASON was a Nailmaker..and his son Samuel initially followed hin into the trade..until he married 11.10.1842 Elizabeth Langton and became a Baker.......Elizabeth's father William was a baker!!

LOT is interesting..he became a Farmer and Butcher..married twice..first to MARY ELEY 22.03.1846..and then to MARY ANN BROWN 28.08.1865 when he was 42 and she was 33........look as though she may have been previously married because her father's name was George WInson

George mason..previously mentioned married Mary Lowe 06.07.1840.

That's about as far as i have gone up tp now (11.47pm!!)..but can tell you that in 1851

Ann Mason was a Warehousewoman..Yes!
Mary Mason was a Seamstress
Harriet Mason was a Nurse
John Mason was a Nailer
William a Scholar

and Elizabeth aged 1 was a grand daughter......parents not yet decided.

There's a lot more if you want it......if you look at my Thread.."Derbyshire Parish Records"...which is on "Find Ancestors"..you will find plenty of evidence to assure you of my ability and persistence.....

night night!!

Derek.
