Alviegal, that is them from 1841.....I've got 51 and 61 too. I've been researching them for a while and decided to pad out my tree and find out where the family eventually settled. I would love to find some distant relatives in the US......

I think he was Walter but only going with the LDS marriages with Elizabeeth Hill in Glasgow around the time of her being legal to marry. I also found an incoming passenger Elizabeth Baird born c1822 in 1900. It is all supposition at the moment. I found poor relief for her mother in 1864 stating her daughter Elizabeth was married and living in America her husband a mason.

Perhaps? You don't say where in the US and how you know she was there in 1864.

When you say you know she was in the USA in 1864 - what were the circumstances to that? Do you know where in the US she was then?

Outgoing passenger lists (that I have access to) only start from 1890 but arrivals stateside are available from much earlier.

Looking for anything relating to Elizabeth Baird nee Lang. I know she was born in Camlachie, Glasgow in 1822 to Elizabeth Hill and William Lang and she married a mason and moved to America. I know she was in the USA in 1864. If anyone could look up outgoing passenger lists, US census records I would really appreciate. I'm not sure if she married in Glasgow or the US but I'm guessing Glasgow as there's a marriage on SP that matches on their index.......
