Don't think the police were called up. Is he a policeman in 1911? |

My father has had a visit from a long lost cousin who brought a sack load of photographs with her. One was of their grandfather in a police uniform (maybe met) circa ww1 era. No-one seemed to realise he'd been a policeman, was it something that people were called up to during ww1? He would have been 36 at the outbreak of war. |
