I suppose there is no other way than trying out some of those by ordering the certificates to see which one if any is right. Thanks for the suggestion.

Maybe the person that registered her death thought Eliza was short for Elizabeth and they were unsure of her exact age.... I would look at the couple of deaths in Gloucester for Elizabeth merchant in the 1920's.

I am trying to find when and where my great great great grandmother died. She was born in the Middlesbrough area in 1843 or thereabouts, but lived in Gloucester, Cardiff and Bristol in her life.
I have her as a widow in the 1911 census living with one of her children William Charles Merchant in Bristol where it states she is 67, however going by the year of birth I cannot seem to see a valid death that would tally. I have looked to see if there was any way she married again but there are no marriages for Eliza Merchants after 1900 it seems. Hopefully someone out there can point me in the right direction on this.
