Looking for the marriage of John McLean Blair born 6th October 1923 Lanarkshire Scotland and Jessie his first wife she too was born in Scotland but I dont have a maiden name. One search has given me a marraige between a John Mclean Blair and a Jeanie Gillies Keirs but this does not appear to be correct as everyone says her name WAS Jessie maybe a link to her fathers name which was McKeackney but not sure of the spelling.

She died in America in the last 10 years having married a Bob Stone an american.and would of been Jessie Blair at time of marraige.

Thanks for your help as I do not have access to Scottish records

for Scottish BMD you will need to use

www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

it's a pay per view site, you will need to buy credits and can buy certs there, unfortunately there are no subscriptions available

just had a quick peek

2 John McLean Blair marriages

one in 1946 to JEANIE GILLIES KIERS in RENFREW

another in 1958 to JESSIE VALLEY MCKECHNIE in GLASGOW CITY/LANARK


you need to order the certs at scotlandspeople to see if they are the same man

as he married in Scotland, the certs should have both his parents names on

Thanks but the Alexander link is not connected as I have to eliminate Jeanie as she is not Jessie who married John McLean Blair info as above.

Hoping someone has a spare credit to find this marriage for me as I unable to buy any currently.

as the marriages are fairly recent you can't view the certs online, you need to order them on scotlandspeople, cost is £12 each

Hmmm now that has confused me.. thanks for info much appreciated.
McKechnie was Jessie fathers name not John McLean Blair.
