I am trying to find the marriage of Joseph Owen to Margaret Hargreaves. Margaret was born approximately 1815. She died on 4th December 1842 aged 27. She married Jospeh Owen on 26th February 1837 at the Collegiate Church in Manchester. Up to now I cannot find any records of this marriage under the name Hargreaves. There is a Margaret Atherton mentioned getting married to a Joseph Owen in 1837, and I am wondering if this is the same person, who could have been married before? |

You can get records on Ancestry going back to the 1530's, where I have been finding lots of info. I have found a marriage to a Margaret Atherton in 1837, but not Hargreaves |

Hi Margee, I have found an envelope with birth/marriage/death certificates along with my fathers letters and cards when he was in a Japanese prisoner of war camp in WW2. There are lots of bits and pieces and along with all these there is a piece of paper written by my great grandmother Annie Owen (Jackson) and she has written the dates of birth etc down too. We have only just found this marriage by Joseph Owen to Margaret Hargreaves, so am trying to up-date and rearrange my family tree. |

It seems, I think it was my grandmother, who saved all the bits. There are letters from Edwin Owen to Annie Jackson saying things like meet me in the park at 2pm for a walk etc. ts so cute\! |
