Find Ancestors

Can anyone tell me how to look up scottish records please. I have found my Grt grt grt grand parents who come from Lockerbie, They are George Lockhart and his Wife Helen nee Johnstone, My grt grt Gran was their daughter Ann who was born in 1836 and married George Watt from Kirkby thore Cumberland as far as we can find out. We don't know anymore details of the Lockharts because I don't know how to find Scottish details, hope you can help. Thanks
