I would appreciate some help please. I am trying to find the resting place of my grandmother Evelyn Grace Powell who died in Sussex around about 1958. Are there any records of burials in Sussex?

Do you have her death cert or know where she lived when she died?

Find the death reg'n......buy the cert. it will tell you her address at the time.

Then look for the nearest cemetery and contact them

Are you 100% certain that she was buried?

Thank you for the contact advice. The registration district shows Brighton which threw me a bit as I thought she had died in Littlehampton??

Thank you for the information also. Strange that you found the probate details when I didn't when looking at the probate calendar. Also I spent hours at the library scouring the voting registers for streets in Goring hoping to find where she had been working as a housekeeper, without finding anything and now seen the cottage on Google Maps street view. My estranged father Gordon Victor died in Australia several years ago.
