Thank you to everyone that help, the information you gave me was of great help and i cant thank you enough, as my wifes maiden name is Smith, it led me down many a false avenue and this as help no end. the break through come from a company called Fraser and Fraser, there were looking for the heirs to a Mervyn Smith who sadly died a lone and never married and never had any children My wife is one of his many heirs, she never knew who he was, i guess many of you could guess how the story ends
