Hi Brummiejan,

Yes this is the family i have from Frederick W's son

I think i have confused myself with earlier generations.

Frederick i think was born in 1898. He was from Croydon, Surrey.

I have not been able to find out his mother' (FLorence C)'s maiden name or date of marriage.

Also i Believe Richard Stimson (Snr)'s father was called Daniel? But cannot say for definate as I cannot find any details on Richard (Snr)'s mother.

Hello Caron, possibly why you can't find the records you are looking for is due to mis-transcription.

Also, don't be too specific with your searches - allow some leeway with ages, spellings etc..

The marriage for Frederick and Alice Wildman should be on FreeBMD

Hi all - looking for other side of family now,

I have found records for a Frederick Stimson (born c1898) m Alice WIldman sometime around 1917-1925?

Also, Fredericks father Richard (b1866-1868) appears in the 1901 Census but not the 1891 census and not sure why as he is there in the 1871 census? Any ideas why this might be? did anything happen around 1875-1900?

Also, cannot find any record of Richards mother as her maiden name does not appear on birth records and although in a census it appears that a woman called Mary Ann in Daniel Stimson's (father to Richard?) household was listed as wife i cannot find record of their marriage? Is there any reason why this might be?

If anyone could shed some light would be great!! ;)
