I have been trying now for almost 8yrs to trace family, descendants, of the above, The only info I have is that he was a Coal Miner in Fenton Colliery, Staffs about 1927 and lodged with his married sister (don't know her name) and single sister Elizabeth. The married sister had I believe, a Confectionary Shop, where they all lived, in Market Street, Fenton, Stoke on Trent. He then, apparently, went to Doncaster. There are SO many Davis's I am at my wits end! Unfortunately I live in Kent and to look at Census Records around that year I assume I would have to travel to Staffs, so any help will be greatly appreciated. |

If the above family is relevant, the Emily Lavinia mother is an Emily Lavinia Bartlam born in 1863 in Stoke-on-Trent.The marriage is listed on Staffordshire BMD as between a John "Davies" and an Emily Bartlam at Fenton Christ Church in 1884. |
