My Great x 2 grandmother Sarah Jane Dinsdale was a bit of a shady character. Family stories are she was involved in the black market during WW2. She lived with her daughter and grand daughter (my mom) until one day she just vanished. My mom thinks it would have been around 1947 ish.

I've tried to find a death for but nothing that fits. Wondered if anyone could come up with any other avenues I could try please?

Sarah Jane was born c1880 in Walsall Staffs, she married Thomas Dinsdale in 1911 he was killed in 1914 in WW1 and she never remarried. she would have been in her 60's when she vanished
