Kirsty Report 8 Aug 2012 17:41

Hi All, I have been trying to sort this out for a couple of years but going through my notes and information thought I would give it another go!

The information I have is
Henry Middleton b 9Oct 1842 Abberley Worcestershire
Married 1 Dec 1864 Cliffton Gloucestershire
Eliza Rosser b1843 Gloucestershire

they had 5 children
Frederick William 1868 ~ 1946
Arthur Ernest 1870
Ida 1871
Edward John 1873
Francis Oswald 1874 ~ 1891

In the 1871 Census they are living in Claines Worcestershire
in the 1881 Census they are living in Scarborough Yorkshire
In the 1891 Census they are still in Scarborough but Henry is missing, Eliza is the head but is still married. All the children are there apart from Arthur (who also goes missing until 1896 when he marries Margaret Flinton in Scarborough and Henry id deceased on the marriage cert!!)

I would like to find the death of Henry Middleton and also I can't find Eliza's death either.

Another thing although i know I am asking alot all in one go!
I am unable to locate Arthur Ernest after the 1881 census apart from his marriage in 1896.
i also know by the 1901 census Margaret Middleton (nee Flinton) is listed as the head of the household with two daughters
Grace J Middleton b 1898 South Africa &
Ida M Middleton 1899 South Africa. I am unable to see the original and again would like to know what happened to Arthur.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated
Thankyou
Kirsty

Perhaps Arthur Ernest and family are back in South Africa.
What is his occupation on the marriage certificate?
Ancestry will not let me see the census image, either.

So if he died in 1895 how did he father Grace & Ida?

Kirsty

Kirsty Report 8 Aug 2012 18:40

No that is Grace and Ida's grandfather Henry, Arthur is their father.

Sorry to say there wouldn't be a Will as Letters of Administration granted to his son.

If there was a Will, it would say Probate granted to his son.

Kirsty

Kirsty Report 8 Aug 2012 19:16

So if I sent off for a copy i wouldn't get anymore information?

Well if not at least i know what happened to him

Now to search for the others

Thankyou so very much for the information you have found
