thanks for the quick reply. No wonder we could'nt find francis henry Arkinstall! Yes the family did move to australia and in fact I am his oldest grand daughter (Annette) It would seem as if they either married after his birth, or they wer'nt married at all. My grandad had a brother called Tom, but I think he was a good bit younger than francis. He lived in Wolverhampton and I think his wife was called Barbara,and they had a girl and then twins.

Had a look nothing so far... On the 1901 there is a Frank born Shropshire, the family are also on the 1911, but I don't think it is your Francis.
