Hi Im trying to help a friend find a marriage between John Fincham b.abt 1800 Essex & Rosa ? b.abt 1814 Ireland. Their son John Fincham was born 1844 in India. They are on the 1851 UK census in Essex John 51, Rosa 37, son John 6. I found John snr (1800) on the 1841 census in the UK with his parents so I think he married Rosa Between 1841 & 1844 somewhere as they were in India in 1844, when son was born. We are trying to find the maiden name of Rosa. Any help would be appreciated, many thanks.

Hi John was in the UK in 1841 not married, and we can only find 1 child born to the couple which was John born in India, I found a birth for him but mother is only down as Rosa.

Will have a look through the pages and see if anything relevant ...

The only page that might have any decent info is too blurred to read (have reported to FMP). He was discharged 1846 after suffering chronic dysentry and rheumatism aggravated by tropical climate (suggests India)

Checked the register for marriages for the Parish Church at Aldham 1840-1844 and they didn't marry there.
