Having read the Military Records which are great, I see that Alfred was discharged 24th May 1900.

I wonder why I still can't find him on the 1901 census? any help gratefully received.

Thanks for this information.
The army Info sounds as though it is him. His Father John became a Baker as did many of the children including my Grandmother Laura. He definately has brothers Edward, Henry and Stanley.

I would love the images if you can send them.
Not sure how you send them do you need my e mail address or something?

I am trying to find Alfred Bawden in the 1901 census, but no joy.
He was born in 1884 in Bishops Nympton, Devon. His parents were John and Eliza Bawden. ( I have found the parents and their other 8 children living with them but cannot find alfred!)
can anyone help?
