Find Ancestors

I have a puzzle re Thomas Henry Davis and his wife Sarah Field, and where she was born. Thomas was a sculptor and stonemason and his gravestone is in Inkberrow churchyard, Worcestershire, along with many gravestones carved by various members of the Davis clan. Thomas also did the huge sundial on nearby Dormston Church.

I have the family in 1841, when Sarah is listed as not born in Worcestershire. In 1851 she is listed as born Inkberrow like her husband and children, and in 1861 she is listed as born Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire. I haven't been able to find her death date and can't find either of them in 1871, though Thomas at least should be there. Documents given to me by a cousin include an application for a marriage licence in August 1817 for Thomas Davis of Inkborough in the county of Worcester, stone mason, and Sarah Field of the parish of Tardebig in the county of Worcester, and that they were to be married in Tardebigge, not in Inkberrow as I had thought. So were there two Thomas Davises, both stone masons, who both married a Sarah Field? All are common names, so theoretically possible. Sarah must have died about 1872 - the year is illegible on the gravestone but it says in the 74th year of her age.

(Their children include Pool Field (1820-1888), Angelo Raphael (born 1824, still alive in 1871 and working in Flintshire), Corregio (born 1826, thereafter vanishes without trace) and Titian Edwin (born 1828, seems to drop the Titian and be known as Edwin), which helps to identify them!)

Any help in locating them in 1871 and sorting out Sarah's birth place gratefully received!

Thomas is a sculptor. Address looks like Stone Pits ? which matches the 1861

Search the 1871 census for Sarah Davis, b 1799, living with Thos (not Thomas) - it'll be the only hit.

Going on the gravestone, it's obvious we need the first one.
74th year implies her age should be 73 - well, likely the informant was a bit off, but this was corrected on the gravestone - at least that's my guess.
