WIlliam died In Waverley Nsw Australia in 1894.
Married Harriet Frost 1868
Married Lizzie Moore 1888
His death and marriage certificate from Australia show his parents as being John and Mary Holman from Truro Cornwall. Marys maiden name is also listed as Holman.
I am stuck at William and am rying to obtain his DOB and likewise further details on his parents.

Any info greatly appreciated. He was a miner here in Australia.

Were both of his marriages in Australia?

Does his marriage cert include info about his father's occupation?

Do you know when William arrived in Australia?

Have you tried www.bmdregisters.co.uk for non-conformist baptisms?

Although it is subscription or pay-to-view you can make a free search.

They hold the "Register of Births and Baptisms at Redruth Wesleyan Chapel in the parish of Redruth, Cornwall from 1803 to 1837".

Redruth is only about 8 miles from Truro.

Just in case you hadn't realised, civil registration didn't come into effect in England/Wales until the Sept quarter of 1837. Even then birth registration wasn't compulsary for another 50 years or so.

There are 2 William Holman's arriving in NSW in 1854 on the Lady Ann, both are miners from Cornwall. 1 arrived 3/10/1854, it gives parents as James & Elizabeth, this is the other:

Think the 1841 census I posted is the wrong one, he is still with his mother in 1861, and a stone mason employing 2 people - so unlikely to have been a miner?

The friends of the late William Holman, formally of Holmann & Paxton of Hill End, are respectfully invited to attend his funeral to leave his late residence Blackpool Cottage, Ruthven Street, Waverley tomorrow Sunday at 1.00 pmfor Waverley cemetery.

And could be his son both mention Hill End

My internet is acting up, but I found possible deaths for Eliza Jane (Dec 1851) and Jane (Sept 1852) both reg Truro. Did his first marriage in Australia give his marital status?

Looking more at the immigration record for 1854, I think both records relate to the same person not 2 seperate people. That William has parents James & Elizabeth, who I think is the one I've just posted in 1851.

There is a marriage Sept.1849 for William Holman to Jane Julleff, and according to Cornwall-opc they married in Kenwyn parish and his father was James. So it looks like the tree could be wrong, and this is not your William.
