Hi Keith.

Freebmd is accessed here:

You can look for birth, marriage and death entries 1837-1955ish.

You also need to specify what info you are after exactly. You must know something about him to have his name in the first place, so there is a risk people will spend time finding info you already have unless you say what you are after.

Suggest you start by getting accurate birth info from freebmd. The name is too common for searching without firm facts

And 'please' is a good idea when asking for help
