i`m trying to find the parents of john clarke born madeley shropshire 1830.one of his sons was my grandad william born 1870 in dawley.i`ve found 2 marriges for john, one to emma austin 1860 and one to emma nickless 1854 so not sure which one is correct.can anyone please help. thank you .mary.

Granddads birth cert will give you his mothers maiden name.
That way you will be sure to trace the right line.

If you get your grandads birth certificate you will then know which is the correct marriage for his parents. If you then order the marriage certificate it should give Johns fathers name.
