Thanks Tempest and Reggie

As he died in Holbeck I would have thought he was buried there. I'm not sure why my friend thinks he was buried in Gildersome. I have the records for Gildersom and there is no sign of the family there, Births, nmarriages or deaths.

I will pass the information you have both given me onto my friend and see what she wishesto do.

Thank you both for your help

Jane

Check the coverage of the NBI and see is the area/year have been transccirbed

If they have, ask Victor for help. He very kindly offers NBI lookups. But you MUST send a PM - he does not respond to posts on the thread

Please can someone see if they can find out where Jonas Procter/Proctor was buried. He died in Holbeck on the 21st of September 1865. Whilst he died in Holbeck a death notice gave his residence as Gildsersome. I have checked the records for Gildersome and there was no sign of his burial.

Any help would be apreciated. I am doing this request for a friend so this all the information I have to go on.

All the best

Jane
