Hello & thank you all for your input.

Cynthia, thanks again for the advice I will try the family tree route.

Marie Celeste, I found the Fegan you mentioned on new York list who was a chef (sorry for spelling mistake) I have saved it to see if I find anything else out.

Astra, thank you for your research, he might have dropped his first name but I have his marriage certificate for his first wife (Mary Ramsay/Ramsey) where he states he is 21 in 1930 & his fathers name is also Joseph? I will try Cynthia's suggestion on the family tree route and see what comes up.

Again many thanks ladies for your help, it's truly appreciated.

Kind regards

Kathy

Was he definitely born 1909?

England & Wales, FreeBMD Birth Index, 1837-1915
Name: Joseph Fegan
Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1905

That's the only birth I can find, but the father was called William per the baptism record.

Hello Katherine, welcome to the boards!

When you say "trying to locate" - do you mean his death, etc?

I am trying to locate Joseph Fegan born 1909 he married Mary Ramsay in 1930. They had 4 children Mary, Shirley, Dolores & Peter all born in Liverpool.

He was a chief on ships & left Mary & their 4 children in approximately 1940. The last information we have was that he jumped ship & lived in Australia. He married someone else whilst still married to Mary, she was visited in 1960's by police who informed her of his bigamy.

Josephs father ws also called Joseph Fegan, he was a collier, he had a large family & lived in Liverpool also.

Thank you to anyone who can help.
