I am tracing the children of Andrew Thompson b Skelton Yorkshire in 1815 and his wife Mary Coates. Their daughter Esther Jane Thompson born 1848 whos baptism I have found on LDS is on the 1851 census as EJ Thompson aged 2 in Skelton North Yorks, by 1861 Esther Jane is living with her uncle Michael P Thompson in Knaresborough Yorks.aged 12 years. I then loose Esther but on her father' Andrews 1871 census there is a Elizabeth J Thompson aged 22 and born in Skelton. This is the first time an Elizabeth has appeared in this family., so is this Elizabeth infact Esther? I haven't access to the actual census form so I don't know if the name has been transcribed wrongly.
